The Public Art Center, the new art installation by Wesley Meuris for which he documented 200 public installations on university campuses throughout France. Stockmans visited the exhibition at Centre Pompidou and we were impressed!
Wesley Meuris’ The Public Art Center (2013-2018) was created within the framework of the Fondation de France’s Nouveaux commanditaires program. It was commissioned by the Art+Université+Culture network and produced by the not-for-profit SOCIETIES. It was donated by the Art+Université+Culture association. The Public Art Center is listed on the inventory of the Fonds national d’art contemporain, a collection enriched, preserved and promoted in France and abroad by the Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap).
We printed the catalogue, published by SOCIETIES in collaboration with Galerie Jérôme Poggi. A beautiful blue softcover with title in white foil lettering.
Technical feats: otabind binding that lets the book lie open effortlessly, printed on the LED-UV press that gives the colours a higher density, and a fifth metallic colour in the last sections. The cover is Fedrigoni Sirio Dark Blue and the inner pages are Multidesign Original White. It’s a classic!
