Out of nowhere, Šárka Darton Linková

Out of nowhere, Šárka Darton Linková. A publication by Un`dercast and Stockmans.

“The urbanism that turns into a maze, becomes the fil rouge that characterizes the work of the artist, able to connect to the world through her narrative.” – Dott. Salvatore Russo, 2016

This publication in collaboration with Un`dercast is about “Out of Nowhere”, an artwork by Šárka Darton Linková. “Out of Nowhere” is a mixed media sculpture that reflects the relationship between people, places and architecture; taking into account the context of a constantly evolving time and space.

Šárka Darton Linková is a Czech-born artist, whose multimedia practice explores the relationships between people, places and architecture, examining the notion of identity in the context of our occupation of ever-changing space and time. Addressing issues of identity and the relationship between people, places and architecture, her art is about the process of looking and seeing: our awareness of the time and space that we occupy. She is constantly looking for new ways for her art to create a space instead of just taking it.
